Louisiana Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation and Xtreme Fighting Championship LLC have come together to form a new venue to promote growth in the education of youth martial arts. They have formed the

 

Xtreme Youth Martial Arts

 

Objective of the Xtreme Youth Martial Arts

Is to promote the growth and education of all forms of martial arts in young kids and give them a venue to learn and grow their skills in a save environment while competing against their peers.

All ages from 7 to 17 will be able to compete in these respected ages and weights.

 

Proposed Rules of the Xtreme Youth Martial Arts

Age groups will be as follows: Date of birth – must have a picture id.

  • 7 to 9 years old ( Little Champions Division ) – 3 min fight

  • 10 to 12 ( Juniors Division ) – 3 min fight

  • 13 to15 ( Teen Division ) – 4 min fight

  • 16 to 17 ( Pro Division ) – 5 min fight

 

  • All age groups no strikes to the head what so ever.

  • Competitors will get one warning second offence will result in a disqualification. If a competitor cannot continue due to an illegal strike the one who delivered the strike will lose the match.

  • No elbows, No knees

  • No strikes on the ground what so ever.

  • Competitors will get one warning second offence will result in a disqualification. If a competitor cannot continue due to an illegal strike the one who delivered the strike will lose the match.

  • Any throws or take downs from standing are legal besides scissors take down.

  • Slams from guard or out of submission attempts are illegal. No warnings will be given for this offense it will result in automatic disqualification.

  • Once the competitors are on the ground the competition turns to complete submission wrestling.

  • No Neck Cranks, No Cervical Locks

  • No Heel Hooks

  • All ground rules will be the same as the LBJJF and the IBJJF which can be found on: http://www.ibjjf.org/rules.htm

  • No submissions below the waist for kids below 15 years old.

  • Straight Ankle Locks, only to the Pro Division

  • Staling – the referee can stand up the competitors any time.

  • If one athlete is on the ground, the top athlete can engage grappling or ask the referee to stand the opponent up. Remember No strikes on the ground.

    1. Mouth Piece

    2. Shinn Guard with covered Feet

    3. Cup

    4. Front loaded Grappling Gloves (Provided by XYMA )

    5. Head Gear is Optional

Judging of the Competition

 

There will be two judges and one referee for every competition. The two judges will decide the winner of the competition if there is a draw the referee will break the tie and decide the winner.

All judges have to be approved by LBJJF.
